With the help of Mama Pik Music we will be providing you with quality, local, live music throughout the day. “GreenLightUnplugged” performances provide invaluable funding and raise awareness of Macmillan Cancer Support education and advice line services and we are very pleased to have these acts performing for your entertainment.

Set up in 2016 by Devon music-lovers Pik Rawlings, Janet Ventre and Simon Gregg, Greenlight Unplugged provides a platform for local unsigned artists to play original music, while at the same time raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Sound Mind Sessions

Pik Rawlings from Mama Pik Music, has now launched a new project with local singer-songwriter, Pete Falloon, “Sound Mind Sessions” to host exquisite live music in beautiful and historic Devon venues to raise awareness and funds for mental health support for Musicians.

Matthew Gordon Price and Jamie Yost  will be headlining our stage on Sunday. They have supported/performed with the likes of: Martha Reeves & The Vandellas (Glas-Denbury Fest 2018), Beardyman, Dodgy (Eden Project 2018), Seth Lakeman (RWYFEST 2017), Ward Thomas (Never Fade Records), Beth Rowley, Wildwood Kin and more.

Jamie Yost Bio

Jamie Yost is an alternative folk, singer-songwriter, based in the southwest. His sound has been compared to artists such as Noah Gundersen, Matt Corby and Daughter. The last few years have proved to be a successful period for the singer-songwriter finding himself supporting Brit Award Nominee Beth Rowley, the legendary Martha Reeves and the incredible Country Folk Duo Ward Thomas. Jamie Yosts’ latest release is his much anticipated debut EP ‘Aurora’.

Matthew Gordon Price Bio

Matthew Gordon Price is an alternative folk musician who provides an emotional narrative to which many can relate. His performances are honest and heartfelt with comparisons to Damien Rice, Marcus Mumford and Glenn Hansard.

His debut E.P ‘The Bird & The Tree’, which was released on January 31st 2016 and reached the top 100 on the ‘Amazon Download Popular Chart’.

2016-2018 was a life changing period for Matthew as he found himself supporting the likes of: Martha Reeves (Glas-Denbury Main Stage 2018); Beardyman (UPSU 2017); Sound Of The Sirens, Meadowlark, Seth Lakeman (RWY Fest 2017) and found himself on the same line-up as Craig David and Benjamin Francis Leftwich. Matthew also performed on multiple occasions for BBC Introducing, including two ‘Live in Sessions’ (Devon & Cornwall) and found himself on festival line ups including Glas-Denbury (BBC Introducing Stage).

Matthew’s latest release ‘Rivalry’ (E.P) is out now and available on all platforms. The E.P includes tracks such as ‘Sweet As Stone’, ‘Vixen Queen’, ‘Numb’ and ‘Rivalry’. Subscribe to Matthews events or follow him on social media to learn more and find out where he is performing next.

Chris Ostler

Chris Ostler is one of the most exciting solo artists on the scene right now, based in Exeter, Chris writes original pop, rock, country and funk music.

Chris is motivated and innovated by his observations of life, people and emotions. As well as writing musically, his voice is both powerful and haunting and his ability to enthral a room is locally renowned both acoustically on his own, and with the full lineup of his house band.

Due to his upbringing, music influences and regular visits to Canada when he was a child, Chris’ sound has a much more transatlantic feel which allows his voice to blossom further with more prominence and power.

Chris is autistic, which only serves to enhance the way he writes and plays. When he was younger, he found it very hard to communicate, but through the power of music, it actually became his greatest strength and he began to write the music that he has come to be loved for. His songwriting is embellished through his motivations via his visual imagination and particularly by a connection to colour, but reinforced by a visceral relationship with strong underlying melodies.

Pete Falloon

Pete Falloon has supported Britpop legend Dodgy, and UK funk heroes The Blockheads as well as folk acts like Ruarri Joseph and Pete Morton.

Exmouth-based indie folk/country rock singer/songwriter Pete Falloon launched his debut album Reed In The River in 2016. Pete was also nominated for 2017 Best Folk/Acoustic Act in the Radio Wigwam international Online Radio Awards from over 1200 acts. BBC Introducing In Devon said of his live session “Beautiful vocals, haunting, heartfelt lyrics and justexceptionally constructed songs…WOW!”. The album has received great reviews and widespread radio play from the UK, USA, Netherlands and Canada.

Chris Hawkins has given Lay Down In The Morning Light several plays on BBC Radio 6, saying of the track: “As beautiful as they come.. proper craftsmanship songwriting.. Simon & Garfunkel meets the Byrds.. capturing daybreak quite perfectly”.

“Absolutely gorgeous.. it’s elegant, it’s thoughtful, it’s optimistic too” Similar to the self-styled Paisley Overground movement pioneered by bands such as Co-pilgrim and The Dreaming Spires, Pete’s music draws a line through many of the classic folk/pop acts of the psychedelic era such as Simon & Garfunkel, The Byrds and James Taylor, to modern greats such as R.E.M., The Stone Roses as well as taking in influence from more contemporary acts such as Canadian Americana band The Barr Brothers. On the subject of the influence of the spectacular, idyllic beauty of the West Country in his music, he says that “the music is definitely influenced by my love for the natural environment, and inspired by living in Devon – the moors, coast, countryside, rivers and skies here are something very special”.

Ollie Dixon

Ollie Dixon is a Devon based blues alternative folk singer/songwriter with an energetic style an sound, taking inspiration from John Butler & Ben Howard.

Ollie Dixon is a Devon based blues alternative folk singer/songwriter with 11 string and percussion guitar instrumentations taking inspiration from John Butler/Ben Howard and many more. Ollie’s original and energetic sound is steeped in historical and contemporary influences that transcend obvious comparisons with pioneers of the roots tradition. Ollie’s songs are powerful, melodic and accomplished – switching from tender and brittle to involved, complex, impassioned and transiting melodies. Ollie Dixon is a rare star whose humility belies his future brightness.

Multi-instrumentalist Ollie constructs spell binding compositions with an array of guitars, percussion, effects and more. His independent debut EP The Ragged Mile is out now and available from all major streaming services. Ollie performs at festivals and venues across the UK.

Tom Kavanagh

Thomas Kavanagh is often praised for the diversity in his voice, showing that he can easily flip between gritty high vocal hooks and melodic lows.

Tom takes influences from a variety of modern pop and rock brands, such as The Script and One Republic. After performing as the lead singer for the rock group ‘I Divide’ for 8 years, he’s now doing things alone. His recent track ‘Best Of Me’ made the cut for ‘Track Of The Week’ on BBC Introducing in Devon, back in 2016. He’s recently completed self-producing his debut EP ‘Pathfinder, out now. With the release of his EP it’s been picked up by national food retailer, The Cooperative, who have added his lead single “Can Be Your Superman” which is now being played along Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes and much more across 2,000 stores.

Jimmy Ireland

Jimmy Ireland is an Exeter based singer – songwriter who has a voice that can switch from delicate and fragile to rich and powerful with ease.

Jimmy’s own songs cover themes ranging through family relationships, love and self reflection. After moving from the UK in 2006 a keen interest in music led Jimmy on to learn the guitar whilst spending his teen years in the city of Mandurah, Western Australia. He returned to the UK in 2011 where then he furthered his progress in music and now plays in many venues in Exeter and surrounding areas.

Georgia Omarah has become popular on the festival circuit, making appearances at events in the South West as well as on many radio shows.

Georgia Omarah is a 34-year-old singer-songwriter, whose voice has been described as raw, able to move people to tears. She discovered her love of music at 11 with when she started piano lessons at school and wrote her first song, which she still performs today. She has gone on to write and perform many more songs, wanting to make music her career.

Although Georgia started at such a young age, it wasn’t until 4 years ago that she dedicated her time to making the best out of her voice and unique style of songwriting. She draws inspiration from artists such as Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Adele and Sam Smith to name but a few. Georgia has worked with a number of people on her latest works, including Irish music producer Robert Macleod (‘Tomorrow’ Universal ‘Candle for Kosovo’ Grapevine Records, B*witched and chart topping band Rain).

Georgia has become quite popular on the festival circuit, making appearances at the Grinagog Festival, Glas-Denbury Festival, Paignton Regatta, Bradninch Music Festival, Bradninch Musical Gardens Festival, Exmouth Music Festival and Exeter Street Arts Festival.

She has also appeared on many popular radio shows on Radio Walkham, BBC Introducing Devon and Cornwall, Phonic FM, Radio Exe, Phonic FM and Riviera FM on a number of occasions. Georgia is currently preparing to record and tour her first solo album.

Holly Morwenna

Holly Morwenna released her Debut EP “Bloom” in 2015, along with several singles to date as well as playing festivals like Glastonbury in 2017.

Louis is a Cornish based musician, performing around the Southwest area. He brings a new sound and style on his originals and covers. Louis always has fun on stage, keeping the audience smiling with him.

Soulful tones and rustic sounds make him an easy to listen to artist that keeps you listening, with uplifting lyrics. He is busy in the studio as a soloist but he doesn’t stop there, as he is also recording with his band Scarlet Dawn. Music to be released next year.

Tom Baker

Tom Baker is an ambitious and creative acoustic artist with a unique style, fusing cover versions of popular classics with a varied range of original material.

Toms’ drive and determination doesn’t overshadow his undoubted talent after numerous television and radio appearances as well as frequent festival bookings, his career is certainly gathering momentum.

Growing up on the outskirts of Plymouth, Tom has a unique style that has won favour for him throughout the UK, especially in his hometown, where he started playing at the age of 13. Now he has a booking schedule that sees him actively working in some of the cities most popular venues, as well as guesting around the rest of the country.

A keen contributor to the homegrown talent in Plymouth, Tom organises many Open Mic Nights across the South West, giving opportunities to many an artists, up and coming and established. He also organised and hosted a scouted audition night for BBC1s show ‘The Voice’, in which many artists auditioned. He also appeared on the show in 2013 and frequently encourages fellow homegrown musicians to perform at night in his home city.

2015 saw Tom pen many an original track, writing a full album of varied original music from up beat blues and passionate love songs to troical acoustic house. He is recording this album withy Plymouth’s prestigious ‘Momentum Studios’, with Josiah Manning engineering. A second album is due to follow this year with EPs being released every four months.

Tom’s writing talents have been noticed by many a producer, having been approached by Scarlett Entertainment for representation, as well as Freejak, who is a radio championed producer with some recent material of his being used on ITVs popular show Take Me Out. A series of collaborations between the two are due out this year on various record labels internationally. Tom is now signed up to one of the worlds’ leading publishing firms Notting Hill and is writing house music for some of the worlds’ leading producers.

BBC Introducing also favoured Tom’s vocal ability, tipping him as one to watch in 2016, rewarding him with the coveted upload of the week in January and also featuring him live on BBC Radio Devon for an exclusive interview and live performance.

When combined with some international bookings which will see him touring extensively in the New Year, means what’s in store for the young protege is looking very promising indeed.


Southwest Autosport, the Southwest’s largest car event, is back at the Newton Abbot Racecourse on Saturday 11th May & Sunday 12th May 2019 for a weekend of motorsport action, live music, huge club displays, family fun and a selection of local and national traders.
