The Southwest Autosport
Challenge yourself on our all-new, thrilling Autosolo track layout for just £10! Will it be YOU that takes home our prestigious trophy?
The Autosolo track is one of Southwest Autosport’s most popular features, and it’s not to be missed. For just £10 entry, burn around out new-and-improved track three times. Your fastest time will be recorded and entered into a competition. Winners will be announced later on in the day in a trophy presentation. Three different categories apply: Front Wheel Drive (FWD), Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) and 4-Wheel Drive (4WD).
Please note passes are non-refundable and will be sent to you one week prior to the event. If your pass doesn’t arrive please bring your confirmation email to confirm booking. You will still need to purchase an entry ticket to the show to take part in the Autosolo.
£10.00 x 3 runs
Q: What is Autosolo?
A: It’s a non-specialist, skill-based competition that’s as perfect for amateurs as it is experienced drivers because you are only competing against yourself on the track. Simply drive three laps as quickly as possible and we’ll record your fastest time. It’s all about car-control and routes are clearly marked-out with numbered gates – although penalties apply if the wrong route is driven. Entry is at your own risk.
Q: What kind of car can I use?
A: The beauty of Autosolo is any type of road-legal car can be used. As they have to be driven to the event they must be taxed, insured and have a current MOT certificate. You won’t damage the car, so unless you do something silly you’ll still be able to drive home later. Competitors tend to favour smaller hatchback cars, but larger car can and do negotiate the course too.
Q: Who can enter?
Drivers don’t need a road traffic licence to enter. All drivers aged 16 and over can enter, but for drivers that are under-17 there are certain restrictions: an adult has to accompany the driver, the engine must not exceed 1600cc or have a turbo or supercharger, and the car must have four seats.
